What changed in v0.24
?
v0.24 fixed a bug were cocoaModem's main window was hidden
when a different app is selected. There is a Preference
item to choose the behavior of the main window, but the bug
caused the item to always be selected each time cocoaModem
v0.23 is launched.
If you had previously downloaded and used cocoaModem v0.23,
download v0.24, launch cocoaModem and then deselect the
Hide main window on deactivation checkbox (see
below) in Preferences unless that is the behavior you
desire.
What changed in v0.23 ?
This release of cocoaModem has a new HF FAX receiver
together with a couple of features, bug fixes and support
for the SP RTTY contest.
HF FAX
The modem copies
standard weather fax (IOC 576, 120 lpm) signal. It has the
option of automatically saving charts to a user assigned
folder. Go to the top of this page, select the User's
Manual item under the tabs, and then click on HF FAX in the
line below the tabs.
Redesigned the Hellschreiber Buffering scheme
Hellschreiber had a very short (about 200
character) transmit buffer. I have modified the buffering
scheme so that it is less memory intensive and
Hellschreiber now has a 8000-character type ahead buffer.
Toggling
between interactive and contest interfaces
You can now toggle between the contest
and interactive interfaces through an item in the Interface
menu in the Menu Bar . This item is also connected to the
keyboard shortcut Command-I. This allows faster switching
in case you need to send a fill for a contest exchange or
just to send a quick greeting during a contest.
SITOR-B printing preference
Instead of suppressing the printing of
all errors, you can now choose to print an error as an
underscore (_) character.
SP RTTY DX contest
Added template, Polish province checking
and Cabrillo format for the SP RVG RTTY Contest.
USOS bug on dual RTTY receivers
RTTY Unshift On Space was not working on
the second receiver of the Dual and Wideband RTTY
interfaces.
Hellschreiber endian bug on Intel processors
Part of the header structure that I had
designed for the Hellschreiber fonts were 16 bit elements
that I didn't take care of on the Intel processors.
Hellschreiber should now work on Intel machines.
